Infinite Sadnessby nbortonComment by joannadiva: nice pic
try this,
next time when you convert to grayscale using the gradient knock out or down the blue channel first before you lay the grant layer on. I'm not sure how you do this in PS but in elements 2 you go to adjust color-collor variations- make sure it's set on midtones and then desturate...(I think ) blue You'll get a Yellowish cast. apply your gradient layer. you'll be surprised at the results |

Infinite Sadnessby nbortonComment by Shannon: Nice idea...the only problem I have with this shot is that dates on the tombstone, and by looking at the boy...it doesn't seem believable that he had even know this women...she may be a relative but is level of sadness or "infitinite sadness" doesn't seem real to me if that makes sense... The black and white works well with this shot, though I think it would have also been better without the thick black border. 6 |

Infinite Sadnessby nbortonComment by jmsetzler: excellent theme and composition. I think this photo would work really well with a more shallow depth of field also... great work :) = 10 |

Infinite Sadnessby nbortonComment by justine: Moving photo. I do think it's a bit dark....on my monitor that is. Not sure how others will view it. Also the man is a bit cut off with _dead_ space at the bottom. Still I get the idea your expressing. |

parting farewellby nbortonComment by JPR: I'm adding this to my favorites. I read what you wrote in your profile so I hope this makes you happy. I completely agree with you that having people add a photo as a favorite is more rewarding than winning a ribbon. (but what do I know about how it feels to ribbon, huh?) Anyway, I thought this was excellent, and I agree about the hat. Great work. |
