Composition, colour, exposure, framing all very assured. as a minor point, in such a regular composition, i think i might have tried to get more precisely level with that collar, the slight perspective on it seems out of place, but that counts for very little against such a top shot. |

weary warriorby nbortonComment by faidoi: Great closeup of a fire plug. fire hydrant. The layers of peeling paint really help to give a sense of texture. The darker background combine with the contrasting colors of the subject really makes the composition interesting. The frame looks a bit too big for the shot. "10" anyways. |

weary warriorby nbortonComment by deafwolf: I tend to vote higher on the photos that dare to cross into creativity and leave the safe threshold of stock images. I really like this. A tad more crop to the left might enhance the effect. |
