White Noiseby I Enjoy HamComment by animes2k: love the contrast, but would like to see detail in the top edge of the body - I think it blew out, being closest to the light source. a little distance from the backdrop and softer, more directional light might help to define the subject better... -6- |

Waterfallby I Enjoy HamComment by Rook3000: Nice, I might have cropped the wall on the left out, but at the same time it give your shot a frame of reference. Cool water effect. |

Waterfallby I Enjoy HamComment by Donald: After two month away this is my first vote this year. I like the black and white choice you`ve made here. The upper horizontal line at the top isn`t parallel with the framed with the edge of the photo. This makes me want to lean right. It`s odd and eye catching to see a break in the water line again in the middle of the falls where the bar meets water. The santa beard white form has great wavy lines and is my favorite part of the photo. I found the photo very much surrounded by dark shadow. You get a five vote and everyone else will be judged higher or lower depending on how they compare to your photo. Good luck. |

Waterfallby I Enjoy HamComment by Skip: i love this! you have done a great job all the way around. the water is not stopped too much or too little--just perfect. i hope this isn't getting overlooked in this super-sized challenge, and that viewers are giving this the time necessary to appreciate it. thanks for sharing. good luck with this, and all the challenges yet to come! |

Waterfallby I Enjoy HamComment by samtrundle: Really like your composition here, the contrast between the straigh like at the top and the chaotic water is very effective. 7 |

Canonby I Enjoy HamComment by deapee: Greetins from the Critique Club...
I'm not an expert on bokeh, personally, but I must say I guess the out of focus background does help the in focus object (the lens cover).
Your exposure looks great and composition looks great as well -- I like the positioning of the camera and the strap infront of it like that. I think it adds a bit of interest to the photo.
Overall, I think your final score suffered because it just doesn't stand out and grab the viewer as being something great and unique. Although for what it is, it's a great photograph, and, in my opinion, perfectly framed for a photo of a camera. |
