Just A Blurry Memoryby sylkComment by HBunch: I see what you were trying to do here. The doll is older, probably from yours or someone near you childhood. I have the feeling that people will be marking down for "having a child in your photo". however, it really didn't specify if you could have photos of children in your photos or if you could have childrens body parts (hands/feet) like I have seen in a few photos. I would assume no. However, since it doesn't really specify, I will set that aside and simply comment on the photo it's self. The photo of the child should have been moved back slightly (for focus) and straightened up. It being very crooked takes a lot from the photo. The doll has been kept in great shape and that on it's own is pretty impressive. Lighting is good, you did a goo djob of keeping glare off the doll's face. There is one tiny spot of glare, and it kind of looks like she is crying. Anyway, The angle and idea are great. Good luck in the challenge. |

Just A Blurry Memoryby sylkComment by jsabbarton: This is a really good idea. There are only really two things relating to picture that I can comment on. Firstly, the lighting on the doll seems a little harsh and perhaps the use of bounced flash would have cured thisâ€Â¦ The second one relates to the fact that there is actually a child in the picture. However, this is the memory of the doll and its wish for the child to return – if my interpretation is correct. So - I think - that it doesn't count because of the nature of the image. I wonder if everybody will see it that way :o) It's well thought and well executed and the reflected light under the dolls left eye does look a little like a tear – I wonder, was this intended :o) Overall, I think it's a great shot (8) |
