Big Brotherby cloudsmeComment by Skip: authority figure or terrorist...it all depends on whether you've been on the bottom rung or not. lighting is a little strong, and there is (sorry to say this, but it's true in my home, too) too much clutter. i don't know what your camera's capabilities are, but if you really tightened down on the fstop and set the shutter fairly high, you could almost black out the background, keeping the light on the boys on the ladder. |

Big Brotherby cloudsmeComment by KDO: This is a brilliant visual. I like the messy room and the vibrant, competing colors. The expression on your subjects' faces says it all. The hopefulness and admiration of the little one is precious. The use of the ladder to physically show what is happening emotionally and socially between these two is genius. Amazing photo. |

Big Brotherby cloudsmeComment by gloda: Nice idea. But there's too much confusion, too elements yoked together, no composition. |

Big Brotherby cloudsmeComment by snackwells: Nice photo and appropriate to theme. This photo suffers from a couple of aspects.
- Could have used a more dramatic angle to improve the crop.
- Too many distracting elements such as the toys and animals scattered about on the floor.
Otherwise, interesting idea here. |

Good & Plentyby cloudsmeComment by daisy77: this is so great, i am sad that it didn't score better overall. definitely underrated in my view. i might break with the purists in that i LIKE the narrow DOF of many of these interesting macro shots. incidentally, narrow DOF was the thing that got most the critique on my entry...especially interesting in light of the winner's razor thin DOF. ah well. |

Good & Plentyby cloudsmeComment by PhilipDyer: I like this image a lot. The colors, composition and DOF make for a very appealing photo. You did a really nice job with this. |
