I wish you could have cropped out the finger without messing up the curves of the rock. Very unusual patterns in the stone, and very pretty hues of orange and yellow.

I don't get it. Even with the title. I know there is something in there you are trying to tell me; it just isn't coming through. Life (Ok, there are plants and trees), death (I don't see that here), and hope for the living (Where do you derive that from this image?). Maybe there is something about that odd shape in the water (like a piece of discarded metal) that I'm not seeing. What is it?

pretty wild image. you might want to consider doing some digital art with it. the flash on the tree creates a lot of distraction without adding anything.
