Meby redpandaComment by neophyte: I wanted to do the same but with a smiley face drawn in chalk on the ground. Nice execution. |

Meby redpandaComment by tate: I don't dislike this but it just seems like very little effort. On this web-site you're definitely rewarded for effort. I think showing that using a tri-pod might have added something to it. |

Meby redpandaComment by hotpasta: leaving the feet in this shot really adds to this, well done |

Meby redpandaComment by melismatica: Hmmm...this kind of has the feel of a desperation entry to me. Maybe if you had managed to capture just the shadow without the feet...it just looks kind of hasty and not particularly well-considered. It just doesn't make an impact on me. |

Intelligent design...by redpandaComment by rex: Critique Club
Very nice macro. I think the only thing that hurt you is the fact that not a lot of people will get this. On a photographic side it is near perfect. On a Architecture Challenge it is way out in left field. The DOF is great. And the green blurred background is great. Also beautiful colors in the wing. The focus seems a little off but that could just be part of the Neat Image thing. I am also not a big fan of the crop. Although you were trying to convey the whole wing thing on the dragonfly I think it would have been better to see the whole dragonfly or at least have a little taller of an image. Right now with the crop it looks like a pano. |
