Hats off to the Great Skuaby GautiComment by scottwilson: I think this is a great photo and am very happy to vote it a 10. I do think that it could look just a bit better with a bit of USM. It looks like it has the normal bit of softening from resizing. Every think else about the photo is so good that this become a very minor point. |

Resist all temptationsby GautiComment by Gauti: I wanted to reshoot this, with everything straight, but ran out of cigars and whiskey. That (<-) explains the tilted look. |

Hats off to the Great Skuaby GautiComment by Imagineer: Absolutely brilliant! Top marks for a perfectly timed capture. The second bird coming in for the 'kill' really nails this one.
Picking nits - the vertical posts in the background could have been cloned out to avoid distraction. |

Hats off to the Great Skuaby GautiComment by blemt: One of the ultimate you had to be there shots. :) Not only is this a funny image, it's compositionally strong as well. You have an interesting sense of scale with the edge of the cliff and the wide expanse of ocean behind the subject. The image seems a bit sofrt, like the autofocus wasn't able to totally lock in. A bit of sharpening around just the second bird might help it pop out a bit more. 8 |

Smile for Daddyby GautiComment by Gauti: Just because some ppl think that desaturation is involved, then I must state that there is NO DESATURATION in this photo. The waters of the Blue lagoon are of this strange colour, hence the name, of course. As for framing, sorry, this was a split-second capture and I really couldnt't get any closer.
I really like the arch of the bridge over their heads and the nice atmosphere caught in this. The Blue lagoon stretches out behind the ppl and to the L and reflected light colours the steam rising from it.
BG is a snow covered lava-field, appx 700 yrs old.
