I would crop from the left (just to keep the sailing boat) and I would show more of the old side. The bridge could be a key element on this photo, to get a semi-diagonal composition, it would divide the photo to the two parts. Old and new are opposites, so halved photo compositions work well with it, if you find a natural or artifical line that halves your photo, use it bravely to help the story you want to tell me! :-)

Sorry, but this looks too much like a snapshot taken from an office block. I can't really see the juxtaposition of old & new here either.

Good extended depth of field, though I think the lighting on the two boys' faces could use a good boost since the background is lit better than the primary subjects.
