The color cast is somewhat distracting - it's too white to feel like a faded or antique photo, and too far off white to feel properly white balanced. I like the concept, but the flowers and the stool make this feel a lot cheesier than it would if it were taken with a shallow DoF outside with a blurry environmental scene as the backdrop.

Good composition and use of DOF. There isn't any true blacks in the photo and i think that causes it to have a flat feel to it..

This is quite nice! Weston's pepper shots are among my favorites. There is a great point of view here, and the lighting is okay, too. It seems a bit hazy, though. Try using Unsharp Mask at a very high pixel radius but low percentage to get rid of the haze. Good work.
