walk in the streetby

Isn't it annoying when a photograph doesn't do as well as you'd hoped and yet there are no negative comments? I find it drives me mad, so I'll try and work out why this didn't do as well as it should've.
Your initial image is a fairly boring one with just a person walking down a pavement at dusk, but you've certainly added an interest twist to this one. Your slow shutter speed as unearthed new aspects that would have remained invisible before. I certainly like your depth of field in this image to keep the subject of the photograph in focus while giving the uneventful background some life.
I think the only problem here is that voters tend to whiz through images in rapid succession and at a quick glance, this photo looks as though you don't know how to use your Casio. Also, there seems to be a little too much going on in the frame for some people. The chaos factor implied in your picture tends to be a love/hate with many voters and so you might have been unfortunate enough to get the wrong mix of opinions.
The incredible blueness of the sky here really helps energise the image, although I dislike the top right corner where there seems to have been a source of light when you took the photo.
Overall, this is a perfectly fine photograph and is relevant to this competition. However, I think the reason it didn't score higher lies in the region of people preferring much steadier and clearer landscapes as opposed to small subjects, and chaotic colours.
Good Luck for all Future Competitions!
