Abstract Martiniby AleciaComment by Manic: Hmm, yes, very abstract, but to the extent that there aren't any main focal points :o/ However, the lines of the glass against the background are good, leading down from the upper corners into the centre., and the colours are very rich and vibrant.
One final thing - the border isn't very even, with the righthand side being wider than the lefthand, and it looks like a filter of some sort was applied after the border was created, as there is a noticable ghosting of it into the main image. Also, since the main background of the image is blue, perhaps a black border would help make it stand out a bit more. |

Abstract Martiniby AleciaComment by tjuneau13: This shot gives me a strong sense of movement from the curves and waves. I love the colors althougth the yellow spots and white glare are a bit distracting. The rim of the glass is not equal on both sides at the top of the picture and seems to get sucked out the left side a bit. Perhaps cropping a bit more off the right to equal that out would help. Just an idea. I like the shot very much overall = 8 |

Rehearsalby AleciaComment by Kavey: Very artistic - like the hight contrast treatment and strong shadows.
Feels much too grainy to me (though maybe this is deliberate?) and the wall behind is too bright.
Interesting shot...

Abstract Martiniby AleciaComment by drewmedia: Definitely my favorite shot from the week. I do have two criticisms -- 1) I wish the stem of the glass were straight... the whole thing is tilted to the left and is off-balance in the shot. 2) I'm not crazy about the border, especially where the blue bleeds into the image. I know 2-color borders aren't currently allowed by the rules, but slap a 1 pixel white or black border on the inside of your blue border, straighten up the glass a little, and I promise to buy a print of this one when we offer the service. I love the colors and shapes and light and mood of the shot too much to let my criticisms lower the score -- 10! |

Well done! |
