If this doesn't win, I'm sure something else will. Anyway...this is a good shot. The graininess isn't overpowering but evident enough to be effective. Overall the shot is dark but this doesn't result in a detrimental loss of detail. The mood that I'm sure you were working to achieve is achieved admirably. Well done...something tells me we will all be seeing this shot for the next week or so.

Great use of grain and light but i wish the main subject was just a little lighter.This image is the first i have seen so far where the gain adds significantly to the feel and syle of the image. well done this should finish very high. (bumping up & fav)

This is a great shot. Such desolation and a feeling of losing something of importance. Also, one wonders if the impending storm reflects the man's soul, but may also be welcome in what looks like a drought and possibly his search for water....a 10
