The Bulletby Pug-HComment by dris: Nice capture...love the contrast of the bright green against all the grey. |

The Bulletby Pug-HComment by sjohnston: The train is sharp, so good technique, but I think the the lines in front-of the train spoil the image somewhat. |

Displayby Pug-HComment by Evaan: Usually I wouldn't be pleased with the flower dead center and head on, but somehow because the opening to the vase is turned to the side and the flower isn't, it creates an interesting interplay. Like it. |

Displayby Pug-HComment by Xilebo: The light is a bit harsh and it would have been even nicer to include the green leaves.. |

Displayby Pug-HComment by sea2c: Could have pulled this down some so the flower wasn't quite so centered. Nice nonetheless. |

Felix Beato (active Japan 1863-1884)by Pug-HComment by Tej: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Technical: I dont think I can make out much after all the postprocessing done with this photo but it seems to be well exposed photo. The camrea work and angle of capture is good.
Aesthetic: Well...this is pleasing picture. Though this really is honest attempt to capture the style of the photographer, but I feel (if there was no restriction of being very rigid to style) the image is little flat.
Challenge:Offcoure- this fits the challenge and is very honest attempt to pay tribute.
Conclusion:Again, I dont know how can I really comment on the photo which is tribute to someone who clicked with limited resources. I feel a little more "depth" would have helped. Sapia in picasa tends ro make image flat. Also the contrast within temple seems to more than the overall contrast of the image. But this is certainly an above average compostion. I did not voted for this challenge but would have given around 6..which is inline with the avg score also.
I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. Apart from doing detailed evaluation of your submission, my intent is to learn different styles of photography by critically evaluating selective submissions. Wish you a great day!
