The background appears to have been removed during post processing, and the edges are very choppy. It is also just a bit too centered.

I think you've done a a good job given the tricky lighting conditions - if you're out in a field and want to take a shot, it's difficult to just 'magic' some shade out of no-where :) I love Japan :)
