[quote=hotpasta] amazing...and without a macro 1:1 lens...this is brilliant [/quote

I had a old pentax lens, 35-70 and it also had a "macro" option probably just like his. Its not like crappy lenses today that have a macro switch that does about nothing, if his is like mine, the barrell rotates, extends and locks..... effectively becoming an extension tube built in. So he may have been at 1:1. Man i miss lenses like that.

Best picture in this challenge, i'd love to know some things though..... how did you get so close without scaring it off, do you know what kinda of AF you were in and was it alive.

Well, actually I've discovered that this favourite little lens of mine isn't on the lens list, and I've listed it wrong. It's a Sigma Zoom 28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 II Macro, which can be clicked into macro mode at 80mm. I don't realy feel like asking it to be added to the list because then I would have to change a lot of lens details in my portfolio. ;-Þ

This is a very nice combination of elements. The S curve of the track, the bright blossoms on diagonal limbs, and then the straight up trunks in the BG, all in good focus.
I can almost feel the softness of the soil there.

His head looks huge, cool detail on the fuzzy legs.

I like the minimalism in this shot, I actually think that the landscape with the negative space is nice. Though I wish the ballon was just a bit bigger.
