Castleby esaintpiComment by fotomann_forever: I'd like to see the castle slightly further into the top left of this photo. Also a polarizer would have been nice for that white sky. Overall, this is a good photo though. 8 |

Castleby esaintpiComment by aerogurl: very very nice, lovely subject, nice colors... clouds or blue sky would have made this a 10... 8 |

Castleby esaintpiComment by cosmic: Wow! When can I move in? ;-) Very nice composition; however, I feel it lacks colour. Pity the sky wasn't a crisp blue that day (I know, we have no control over the weather lol). |

Night on Douro Riverby esaintpiComment by esaintpi: Originally posted by davidx76: I really like this shot, esp keeping some detail in the duck sky. But the bridge looks like a bit of an after-thought? |
I used a polarizing filter to keep the details in the sky. |

But You need a sharper lens.
A 7. |
I used a 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 The lens itself is not so bad. But at 10mm, the details tend to become very small. I agree that I could have done a USM. I took the same using the 24-70L, the pic is different and yes, sharper..

Night on Douro Riverby esaintpiComment by Glen King: Not bad, try either:
1. apply the rule of thirds so more attention is on the bridge or
2. crop to a panoramic composition of the bridge and part of the shoreline.
Good effort. |
