I'm struck by the smallness and frailty of the old lady against these huge solid geometric shapes - she looks overpowered, overwhelmed by her surroundings - yet still dignified and holding herself upright.
She is all wrapped up against the cold - but is it the weather ? or the bleak desolation she is keeping out ?
Excellent work. |
