Ice Cream Socialby sibelingComment by livitup: I humbly disagree who state that the booth in the foreground shouln't be there.
The overall emptyness of the place and the general sense of age is what makes this photo for me. If you had gone closer in and only gotten the women at the table you would have lost all the character and feel of the setting.
Still a VERY strong photo in my opinion, and one of my favorites from the challenge. |

Ice Cream Socialby sibelingComment by ubique: I love this unusual composition. You perhaps chose this point-of-view mainly to be discrete, but I think you should claim to have done it deliberately because it makes for a fascinating image with a lot of artistic merit. There will be those who protest that the foreground booth, the chair, the window frames, etc are distracting. Take no notice whatsoever! 9 |

Ice Cream Socialby sibelingComment by Sherri1209: I love this shot. The B/W does the image justice. Although I would like to see the fourth person at the booth, the picture does well with a downhome feel all it's own. Great Job IMO an 8 |

Ice Cream Socialby sibelingComment by stek: Maybe if we could see more ice cream that would have been better? Nice approach to the challenge. |
