Thank you all for your comments, they are very welcome and gratefully received.

Melethia and Neat, I wholeheartedly agree with you about titles, they are such an important part of every image. So, you can imagine my frustration when I submitted this image and for some obscure reason it just would not let me enter a title or any other details! It continually reported an error message about the image being out of the date range telling me to submit another, yet it accepted my image, which was taken on the last day of the challenge.

I had hoped the image would fare better than it has but considering it started off at 4 I shouldn't complain! There have been a lot of excellent images submitted into this challenge, a treat to experience, well done everyone and thanks again for all your comments and votes.

Comment by Paul:
This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 9s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Uber-grainy - I'm a fan of that.
2. Eclectic composition - the juxtaposition of person and structure.
3. The low light levels - like we are squinting.
4. How you've conveyed the brat size of the structure.
5. The precision of the face - you must have worked hard to pull that out.
6. The backdrop of the clouds.

Overall, very very effective.

A WoW image!! feels like i'm lost in the image. The tilt adds to it. The background, the foreground all are fantastic. Great shot.

Such an ominous image. Love it's starkness and how the cone overpowers the human element
