I really enjoyed looking at the images in your ARPS folder. Not to dismiss the quality of the images on their own, but it's interesting how the large white space really makes them stand out. Good job.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I like the simplicity of the shot and framing, great use of silhouettes and lovely tones in the sky. However I would have liked to see the three men spaced out a little more, they look to be stepping on each other's heels here, and they have so much room! I might have gotten the boy to act a little younger, leaping or running, but the more contemplative stride of the middle-aged man looks fine. Glad you didn't go quite so far as to give the eldest man a cane.

So the concept works for me, and the execution is hard to fault, except maybe shooting a little faster or dialing down the ISO to take out what little highlights there are in the sky. Overall a nice shot, keep up the good work.

Feel free to PM me,

Susan

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I gave you an 8 in voting and am glad I did so. Love the low POV, textures in the wood and the solidity of the structure, your model almost appears to be floating and their blur seems to enhance the rush to get to eternity. Composition is good and the dof covers a lot of ground, furthering the impression of having somewhere to go. The punch of colour against otherwise drab tones really makes this pop. Light is a little drab but that's ambient for you :-)

Now I feel like I must go and read the book! Very nice shot and glad it did well.

Feel free to PM me,

Susan
