Foreground adds a bit too many elements that take away from your main subject, overall soft focus on main scene detracts a bit imho.

Beautiful lighting. Having a person in the picture adds a great deal. Gives it a human touch and scale.

Spot is nice for capture...nice lights and compozition... still could take more of archs then street bricks. Also feels like hand held...loosing bit on focus.

i think this could have worked better as a B&W shot, and also a slight rotation to the right as it slants a little. good try though

I really like the composition of this, the light on the cobblestones is lovely. The figure could be a little more focused.

the lights in the window seem a little overexposed though.

There are certain details in this shot that makes it overall quite appealling. the colour and lighting on the damp cobbles is particularly gratifying, and i love the shadow cast by the gate on the pavings. Having the grey-haired person works, too. Unfortunately though, it all seems a little messy as you look further back. This could do with a being a little sharper, either by using a tripod (or any flat stable surface - personally I̢۪m always on the look out for rubbish bins and other street furniture) or possibly a higher aperture (it seems quite shallow because the cobbles do appear to be in focus). this has a load of potential but let down by a few factors put of your control - for example, it's a pity that the detail of the ironwork at the top of the arch has been lost... did you try adjusting this to a sepia tone? the lights and darks might lend itself to a successful adjustment. overall good - 5.
