This seems to snapshotish to me. If you had the flash off camera(if its even possible for you), maybe infront of the subject throwing long shadows it would be better.

That's pretty funny, and funny goes a long way. Nice expression, and I don't mind the flash or the resulting shadow as they're in keeping with the kind of "bigfoot tabloid capture" feeling the picture seems to have.

I imagine the original scene would show a 3D image in the plate we are looking at, though it is not so obvious in a photograph

I hope you do well with this, but suspect it is not so clear to many how it demonstrates refraction

I would love to see a movie of the plate being moved around in the light
