I have Total Control, VOTE 10by kiwinickComment by dtremain: Generally, if you crop your main subject, you should do so symmetrically (top and bottom, left and right, or all sides). Try cropping your image so just the right edge of the right ear is also cropped.
Also, it looks like the cat's eyes are looking over the left shoulder of the viewer - may have had more impact if it was looking directly at the viewer.
This is a great image, precise focus, excellent dof, excellent lighting, very nice complementary bokeh.
I can't explain the 1 votes (not that I understand dpc voters anywho, but... it did make the difference between a 5.32 & 5.52). Guess the voters have seen a cat before... ;-p
