That paint looks dry to me already...

Not sure about your model's choice of dress - not really going with the fence in terms of colour. Not sure how you could carry off this idea successfully.

The other picture I've seen in this challenge which used this phrase also used red paint. Is red paint somehow more boring than other colors?

A very obvious idea, which you have pulled off nicely. The bored look on the subjects face adds much to the photo, but it is a shame most of the face is hidden by the hand. I think resting the head on the other hand wouldn've worked better. The only other thing is that if there was paint on the subject it would look less staged. Well done!

Now this is a beautiful "pet and cute kid" picture. I don't think best friends actually have to be human, I know mine isn't. Very nice uncluttered background, good color and composition. Maybe if you hadn't cut off poor Scott's feet, that would be my only complaint
