sort of wish both pencils were sharp and (as unrealsitic of a request it may be) that the wood was smoother. good color rendition and focus though.

Another great chance for side-by-side comparisons during a challenge. Your Remie tribute is very well done, with vibrant colors, and the added bonus of using your own colors. I'm bumping this one to an 8 because of the vivid colors and the way the whites, just short of being blown, merge so well together with pencil and background. Well done!

nice idea, but i think it would have looked better if the other people weren't in the photo, I'm sure you couldn't do anything about that though

white pencil dropping off into BG is a serious flaw in this one

This photo has good qualities.

It has an easily indentifiable subject: a broken lightbulb with a smattering of "blood" (infinitely pleased to know its not real!).
A good set focus including the bulb filament, and screw, leads the eye to the centre of the photograph and then drawing it out slowly with the broken peices laying around the central filament.
The lighting is bright enough to show a little reflection on the glass and background without becoming overexposed.
There is a definite amount of planning that has gone into this photo, and it shows in the fact that the photo is "print" quality, and the overall "feel" of the photo is quite professional.

The only thing that I would point out as being slightly off is a vague "rainbow" of colour near the mid-top half of the photo which may have been caused during compression. My suggestion is that when compressing an image, make sure to choose the highest quality you can have, then resize the image until it meets size (kbs) limits.

I like how the white pencil blends into the white paper/background. if the blue would do that too...
