	The Cool, Cool River - Rhythm Of The Saints by SteveJ Comment by dtremain: IMO, the foreground in shadow just kills this shot. Great gaggle of birds, but the wonderful light in the background just emphasizes its absence in the foregound. Not a whole bunch you could do about it, unless the birds were moving slowly away.

	Mallard by SteveJ Comment by littlegett: Little quack'r in the pond. I find that the side foliage here seems to be sharper focus then the duck. Also the near center composition leaves me wanting something more. I would have liked a bit more separation as well as depth with the feller.

	Dead Gunnera Leaves Protecting The Crown From The Frost by SteveJ Comment by Yo_Spiff: Nice textures and the title tells me how it fits the challenge. I'm afraid the photo as a whole is not working for me, however. One issue is that the glare on the shrubs in the upper right pulls my eye away from the main subject.
