The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Yep, in effect here. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? Certainly. Nicely shot. Doesn't grab me though.

Kurt Vonnegut was once sitting at a table at some social event, smoking by himself, when a woman came up to him and asked what he was doing.

"Committing suicide by cigarette," he said.

Sepia works well for this picture, but I wish it were a bit darker. Contrast looks ok; it's just too bright.
