Daffodilby SteveJComment by Skip: ok, please bear with me. voting this challenge is extremely difficult, not just because of the size, but because we are dealing with images that people consider their best. it makes even constructive criticism hard...
you have a nice picture of a flower. but, as presented here, it doesn't do anything to grab me and wow me. on the other hand, if you had put the camera down on the ground and shot this looking it, you would have produced a unique, attention grabbing image. i hope you are getting some good comments, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this super-sized challenge. if you aren't getting what you expected or wanted, please don't take it personally. maybe just consider it a starting point for the rest of the year. good luck with this and the challenges yet to come! |

Daffodilby SteveJComment by samtrundle: Very pretty flower - I'd recommend a shallower dof though to isolate it from the background a little better. |

Daffodilby SteveJComment by Zoomdak: Looks like morning or evening light you have captured upon this flower. Perfectly centered composition (but I also wonder what this would have looked like in the different quadrants). |

Sunningdale Church Spireby SteveJComment by peecee: Well composed shot, a tad more contrast may not go amiss.
The bland sky doesn't help it a lot, but a very well taken picture, good luck. |

Daffodilby SteveJComment by digitalknight: I think adjusting the whites to be whiter, and pushing the saturation a little would strengthen this image. Maybe shooting with a wider aperature to shorten the DOF would be nice too. Sharp focus, nice work. |

Daffodilby SteveJComment by rmtm333: Image appears flat and "yellow." In PSP8 (my photoshop tool), I would have done a fade correction and tried to enhance the colours. Good Luck. |
