Out of the shadowby pmottaComment by Flinx: I might have cropped tighter on the left, put the girl right up to the border. The shadow break, and lline in the road both take the viewer to the female nicely. |

Out of the shadowby pmottaComment by colyla: I really like this photo...the only thing is it seems a little harsh on the left...but I'm on a laptop and it may just be that. |

Heavy wingsby pmottaComment by AutumnCat: Lighting is a bit harsh. The crop and composition makes me want to see the full statue - and more of the wing. |

Out of the shadowby pmottaComment by saiphfire: you got lucky that she was walking on the line... this is a great photo op, but there are a few things I'd have changed... first, the highlights in the top left are seriously blown, second, there are some distracting elements in the picture. Since this was an advanced editing challenge I'd have attempted to clone out the leaves in the bottom left. I also might have cropped tighter to get ride of more or all of the building in the top right. all in all nice, though. B/W works well here. |

Out of the shadowby pmottaComment by Hye5: I like what you did here...the only thing is that shadow line which really takes away from the impact of this photo (also the branches in the lower left). I think a different angle on this really would have given this a lot more punch. |

Out of the shadowby pmottaComment by ubique: Lovely image. Some will quibble about the overblown highlights in front of the girl, and others about the intrusive tree branch, but it's nevertheless a very effective interpretation of the challenge topic. 7 |
