The lack of sky seems very...odd to me, like it's been washed out (and you may have chosen to do this on purpose - I don't know) :-) My favorite part is how you used part of the structure as a frame at the top of the photo.

Meets the challenge well. Good use of black and white, something that is generally overused here, but it adds to the feeling of age of this photo. The exposure and DOF are good too.
However, the composition seems a little off for me... It looks like a cave wall or something at the top of the photo's foreground. It leaves me asking "what is that".

I really like the neutral couch and the bright left hand corner which gives the 'room' depth... I wonder how it would look if the figure wore a solid colored dress? The dress seems to be of a similar pattern as the pillow and might take a way just a tad from the contrast? but perhaps that was intended... In any case, well done and great lighting!
