Wow! That is so beautifull! I like shots like this as there is not much to see here but bushes and trees. To much land that is flat or hilly. Lots of red clay. So when the sky is looks neat its fun to try and find nice elements to include.

This image fits the high contrast style of Adams and is well composed and applies the rule of thirds to good effect. The vegitation on the left is almost oversharpened. The waterfall is a little overexposed topside and the dark area on the right is a bit distractive and should have a little more detail showing. You will never see either in Adams' work. I must admit, however, my own submission has that same darkside defect that I kick myself over now. I was going to correct it after submission but later did not have time.

Overall this is a tranquil image with a full range of tones. (Score: 6)

I would have liked to seen the fence completely in focus. The detail is great.

I love the shot but I fail to see the separation. I think you are trying in insinuate the separation of the hair from the horse or cow. In order for me to feel this separation I would need to see the animal in the photo. As it is is is hair. With the animal it is hair and animal separated. great shot dosn't fit the challenge well IMO. so I can't justify more than a very healthy 6. With the animal in the shot 8 or 9..

Lovely colors in the sunset, but the silhouette of the shrub in the front isn't very interesting as a subject for the photo. Better choice of subject would do a lot for this IMo.

Cool as the smirk carries the viewers eye across the entire face. The lighting is fine but it is the expression that gives this portrait its great strength. The cap and background add the spice to complete the composition. Bumping up.
