Definitely meets the challenge, except the poor little 5 in the lower left, which doesn't add with anyone to make 10. Technically exposed and composed well, and sharp. The part that kinda grabs your attention is trying to figure out just what the figures are on the cards - adds an interesting element! |

Nice colors and sharpness. Easily fits the challenge (and then some). A slightly different layout (maybe not having the bottom corners of any cards showing or a smoother fan) may hav ehelped. Goo djob technically overall just maybe not as interesting enough to get the higher votes. |

Though the score doesn't reflect it, this is a great photo. The only nitpic I could come up with would be including the last number on the cut off card so it would add to 10 with the 5 showing. Focus is sharp, colors are interesting. |

Adding for Tensby nards656Comment by TheHummer: The deck adds to this for me, makes me wonder what's on the cards, also adds more interest than a standard deck, well taken. |

Now how am I gonna knock a shot that used q-tips. Not sure what you were talking about with the greenish feel. The colors are good, overall focus is good. Great basis to continue on in pp. Technically I think the shot is well done - very well considering there is no pp. Good framing of your models and all. The interest factor is a bit low though IMO, and I think that mayeb a different color background could have helped them pop a bit more. |

I gave this a 7 in voting. I thought it was interesting with very nice flattering colors. The one distraction I had with this, is since it's such a tight macro you maybe should have pushed up on the swab tips to get rid of the "flyaway" cotton hairs. |

Marching Alternatesby nards656Comment by chalice: I am not sure what to say in this challenge. Since PP is not allowed, there is not much to critique. The focus seems a bit soft to me...with the outer portions of the shafts and the cotton a bit out of focus...along with the shafts in the last couple of swabs on the right. Lighting seems a bit flat, with very little shadow. On the other hand, perhaps that is exactly what you wanted. |
