Beausoleil Island Sunriseby DarkRiderComment by Kylie: I was going to write a comments and noticed that DIana summed it up very weel below. The colors, mood, everything works together to make a very emotive color play. |

The Pleasure in Painby DarkRiderComment by jeph: The challenge was "touch" and buddy you nailed it. This pic was not as much kinky as funny to me. I grinned from ear to ear when I saw it. You feel the touch looking at the pic, lol. The lighting is very effective. The facial expression is priceless. The horizontal image behind you is a little distracting. Overall great pic!

Beausoleil Island Sunriseby DarkRiderComment by DianaB: As promised - a comment (to cover BOTH the "sunrise on the island" images)..
I mentioned the dramatic use of colours on the other photos you'd posted on the 'mist' thread. That occurs again in these two photos. To me there appears to be a strong bend towards the use of blue and yellow in these two photos. That, to me, creates a 'colour drama'! I can imagine photos like these being hung on plain white walls to create bright contrasts or to pin point (highlight) these colours when used during interior design. Also, both images have a painted quality about them - as if they'd been painted with bright watercolours. There is an almost 'surreal' effect to them, but in a bright and colourful way. I hope some of the feedback I've given helps and makes some sense? As I mentioned in my reply to your PM, I can only tell you what the images mean 'to me'. Thanks again for sharing them with me. |

Georgian Bay Mistby DarkRiderComment by DianaB: Thank you for sharing this lovely photo on the 'mist' thread on DPC. I've never before seen mist portrayed like this. Its a vibrant photograph, made so by the incredible shades of blue.
. To me, I find that you have a way of being able to capture colour in your photos in a dramatic and appealing way. Good work. I also wish you the very best in your aspiration towards reaching the goals mentioned on your bio. |

Misty Sunrise - Georgian Bayby DarkRiderComment by DianaB: Thank you for sharing this image on the 'mist' thread on DPC.
To me it seems to portrays a touch of drama - created by the contrast in colours between the top and bottom of the image. I like the way the grey mist in your photo blends into the clouds in the sky (altering the natural horizon). There are light areas within the cloud formations to one upper side of the image which appear to make a good balance with the contrasting tree on the opposing lower side. I've enjoyed having the opportunity to see and comment on your photo. Thanks again. |
