at the frontdoorby visaksenComment by melismatica: For me, this needs to be entirely in focus to make a graphic impact. The blurred areas don't make enough of a statement yet they occupy the majority of the frame. On the plus side, you effectively isolated a single area of pattern, which to my mind is how to make a good photographic statement about pattern. |

Criticism; difficult, needs 'something' to 'raise' it in my opinion, no idea what nor how, perhaps adjusting the tone/color, not sure. Maybe more height for added 'pattern effect', but not sure on that either. |

for the birdsby visaksenComment by macrothing: 6 - Nice, especially the colors. Criticism; like to see 'a' focal point sharper/crisper, be it the stalk (that looks like parsley), or the apple(?), but just something there defined a little better, likely make this even better in my opinion. Maybe a little more height too, not sure as I do like the horizontal composition. Very good 'DOF''s. |
