Good picture. The black backround was a great choice, nice contrast. The reflected light on the left side of the candle makes me feel edgy and uneasy though. Maybe lighting from the back would have taken care of it?

I'm now at the stage that I have seen many shots like this in the challenge!

Am I tyring of them? NO! If this was called a snuffed candle challenge I'd be even happier :)

I maybe mad but smoke, and the patterns it makes is mesmorising. This is sharp and crisp whilst keeping the softness of the swirls. I wonder id it would look any better either cropping the candle out or converting all to b&w? Mind you, some folks may find it boring without the bright red candle (good choice of colour btw).

I like the fact that this is a more complex image of smoke than some of the other shots. The red of the candel is nice and lends a reality to the shot that some of the others don't have. Well done -- among my top picks.

Thanks for the comment, although on my monitor I can see plenty of detail in the petals - are you sure yours isn't too bright? :-)

Very nice. The red candle makes this picture stand out. Might've been cooler if you had one of those white borders that leave a bit of black on the outside. 1 of my 2 tens.

Everything was so clear and distinct, and in focus, and full of contrast. Well composed. But, what the heck was that little dark fleck of dirt on the bottom petal to the left? Drove me crazy. Nice image though. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge.
