PyroTechnicalby riotComment by GeorgesBogaert: It's more abstract than impressionism. I don't know what it is but I like the effect very much. If this is done in camera, I think only that old Russian lens from Jupiter can produce such an effect. In my top 5. A 7 from me |

An appealing image that fulfils the challenge brief
What a lovely image but you were unfortunately accurate with your prediction, at least you have the appreciation of a couple of people here. She is a lovely model and her pose is classic and very appealing adding a very sensual mystique. The only thing I might have altered is the crop to exclude the dark band of tiles, it gives away the fact that it has been shot into a shower/bathroom, the background tiles with this exposure are not immediately apparent without the blue band, it reveals too much and detracts just a little. Once more Eugene thanks for the illuminating notes you have included, you really do have some unique lenses, I like the way you are happy to experiment with these unusual lenses to create something genuine as opposed to relying and inevitably faking a less convincing result through PS. |

Rosy Classicby riotComment by GeorgesBogaert: It's nice to read your comments. Wondered how you got this soft focus in the first place. I used a soft focus filter way back (25years ago) on my old Nikon camera's to get a similar effect. The problem it was too much uncontrollable on film. I can still mount that old filter on my Canon 40mm pancake lens but barely do it. I am searching on internet more information about the lens you used here.

An interesting image that meets the challenge fully
An interesting write-up of the difficulties posed using the lens that you were, a sensible and effective way round the problem. I don̢۪t see the perceived slant on the bridge as a problem at all it is perfectly reasonable to expect to see such a result in real life. If you can get back there to repeat the shot I suspect this will be looking glorious now with more of its autumnal colours add to the golden glow of that lovely bridge. A lot of your images, this included, bring back fond memories from my canal boating days, thanks Eugene. |

An interesting image that meets the challenge
What a lovely interesting building this is. I̢۪m not sure about the bench, this is a conscious choice you have made to make your image more unique and give it a somewhat quirky feel but it doesn̢۪t really work for me to be honest, I would have preferred the plain grassy expanse. The lighting is good in the way it is bringing out all the interesting detail in the front facade. |

Still Life with Fruit by riotComment by snaffles: I had to smile when I saw this one, cause I had planned to do something similar! Good to see it didn't get voted down for the partial nude. Congrats on the red :-) |
