Student Clarinetby rayg544Comment by bassbone: Thsi almost seems like too close for this kind of closeup. It has some blown out sections on the keys on the top and there is a lot of the image that is OOF due to the shallow DOF. You have some nice elements - music in the background, interesting lighting, good eye for composition, but it is hurt by the amount of soft focus areas. |

Student Clarinetby rayg544Comment by md8speed: I almost entered a very similar picture to this. Nicely done and good job controlling the highlights in the center |

Flagsby rayg544Comment by Ann: Good idea, I like the theme, and the arrangement of flags in the scene. But there are a couple of things wrong with the processing. It's way oversharpened, there are halos and jaggies around the edges of each stripe. The second thing is a general darkness. The white stripes on the flags are about a medium grey. You might read the black and white conversion tutorial to get some ideas for how to get the b&w conversion to work. |

Flagsby rayg544Comment by PugPop: I really like this one. The flags really pop out at you. |

Flagsby rayg544Comment by Dave Gordon: There's an oversharpened look, or too contrasty, or something off about this image. |

Flagsby rayg544Comment by rennie: Well, It is good for the building patriotism in American people. However, I'm afraid you may suufer from the people of other nationalities, who will see "just" a flag. |
