I like your angle, it allows us to see the complete context of the game. Titled "the pitch", I would expect to see the focus on the pitcher or ball, rather than the three people at home plate. I'm ignoring that in my vote though - I try very hard to score only the picture, not the title. Also, this seems tipped to the right a little bit.

A tighter crop cutting out the non-essential trees above and the inch or more on the right would give this photo more power and focus upon the ball coming in. Great freeze action sports photo.

Looks to be a low strike or off the corner. Nice composition. I have been shooting alot of my son's h.s. baseball and enjoy it immensly. You've got good shutter speed as indicated by the ball. I like everyone in frame too. Looks like a noon - 3 game by the sun and shadows with good exposure as the pants aren't to blown. Good luck on the season and your photo.
