This was the first shot that came up when I started voting on this challenge, a nice opening. The colours are wonderful and its in a beautiful setting. But you know what, in my opinion the surrounding country would have been better left out of it.

That broken roof would need to be in somehow as well as the peeling paint from the walls etc. But what I mean is a close up, an abstract view which gives a "suggestion" of the surroundings would have been better I think.

I'm probably just as guilty of trying to cram too much into the viewfinder when just the hint or suggestion of it will do. The viewers imagination can create a much better scene that you can capture if you just give them the hints to work with.

But, I can still see this as being one of my favorites and doing very well overall in the challenge,
Great colors.
I would have prefered more of the tree behind the house to be visible, but there may be a reason for that.

My criticism would be of the border I find it distracting to the image. I also think a slightly tighter crop on the top may have helped to focus the eye a bit more to the 'face'. Nice use of diagonal line.
Would be curious how it would look on black background to make a more dramatic feel.
