Don't take this the wrong way, but it doesn't look like too much effort was put into this. The background isnt' very pleasing. Kind of looks like you took it sitting at your computer. Just ignore me if I'm wrong. A nicer background would have made all the difference. However, the placement of the subject in the photo is very nice. Lighting makes the hair shine and there is definately a pencil. The color of the hair is very nice and the pencil looks very nice in relation to color with the hair. I would love to see this again with another background. Good luck in the challenge.

Even though the assignment is the humble pencil, I still would like to look at an image that is visually pleasing. This picture has poor composition, all the surrounding clutter turn the image into a snapshot because no attention was paid to details. 4 Journey
