I like so many things about this picture. Technically it's great. The ball adds so much. Keeps it from being just another another picture of "hands". And the title brings it all together. This is my favorite of the challenge.

Beautiful capture, and I love the semi-soft focus.

I also love the story that goes with it -- reminds me of my grandson. He's getting better, but for awhile there was no way he wanted his grandmother to take his picture. He was a Moving Target. This is my favorite shot of him from that period. He was hiding behind the sofa.

OK so now having established my credentials, I gotta say that whilst I really like this shot compositionally (but do prefer the outtake) there seems to be something just a little off about it

I think it make be the dome and the sky which just seem a little fuzzy but for some reason attract my eye more than they should and means I dont get to concerntrate on the beautiful sharpness, texture and repetitive pattern of the arches (which are by the way magnificent)
