Good effort. But, the blown out area really hurts this image. Though it would be hard to crop it all out and still keep the perspective you were going for.

Its all in the Title,
this was several square paper NOTES,( the kind u keep by the phone) folded to triangles, then laid on a mirror, the lighting is reflected giving the studio effect, but really looked after itself.

I find the strangth of this image in the light at the fringes of the grasses, which somewhat works against the idea of silhouettte I fear. It's a fine shot, however, certainly worthy off placing well in this company; though it perhaps lacks that edge of the very special - some, perhaps compositional, element to contrast the delicate shapes of the grasses, to put them into context.

I don't know if this is a true silhoutte or not the edges are not a crip black solid edge. But i don't care I like it anyways. I wish there were a little moreof the clouds floating high on the top of the photo this would have enhanced it a bit. But I can't say for sure that they wouldn't have drowned out the realy cool plant. One of the bettrer shots of the challenge. Awsom Job!! 8

Wow, ya know the weird thing is, I had no idea what this was until I'd seen that it was validated (and then looked at the title again). Interesting lighting. I like the balance of color... But it is quite jumbled. I wonder if maybe it would be a bit more effective overall if there were fewer pieces in it...

Nicely done. You have captured a Silhouette and with textured detail as well. I wish the bright light were not in the corner of the image, as it pulls my eye to that corner. This would have been a much better image had the entire image had the illumination found on the left side of the image. <6>
