This is a beautiful shot...I get the feeling, however, that this is simply a case of taking the best shot you had and trying to tie it into the challenge with the title...a good try, but I don't really get the connection.

The bee almost gets lost in the center of the flower. Nice capture but a bit bright overall and almost over sharp, the sense I get from this flower is that it would hurt to touch it, not because of the reference to the sun (fire colored petals) but it would cut my finger or something. So many flowers in the challenge and I'm not really making the connection to the challenge and therefore voting them lower. Sorry, a 2

I can't believe that this didn't finish in the top 3. It's got fine details, it's not flat at all and has an unusual use of framing. All in all very artistic. This photo got my first 10 of this competition.
