I like this, the composition is good and the border adds some pop, but the purple in the upper right hand corner really crowds the shot. A simple solid colored background would really make it stand out

Perhaps some more dramatic (less flat) lighting would make this a little more interesting. Also possibly a plainer (or more blurred) background.

surely my praise is a repeat but i could not resist to let u know this is such a touching image/makes me wish i had a intense picture from my childhood like this / how times are a changing / think i owe about 8 photographs from my first year untill my 10th / who knows maybe the good thing about it is that it left me with this passion for photography

Yellow border is a bit over the top. I think tye image would have been better without it.
