Good focus, but a red-eye reduction flash and a darker background would have greatly improved this shot for me. If you don't have studio lights or a bounce flash, you might want to consider shooting these types of photos outside, with natural light, or further away from the wall to reduce the harsh shadows. The ears on this little guy are great. I bet that even a tight cropped shot of just the head would be interesting too. 5

Funny little dog, quite likely with bizarre habits, but not really a picture of "bizarre nature". Shadow and blue eye glare make for distracting elements.

A little over exposed on the white blanket under the paws. Being further away from the dog and using a long zoom lens will help with the "deer eyes"
