Overall, it's a little too dark for my liking. A lot of detail was lost in the foreground land and the water comes across as just gray. The only real dramatic lighting here is in the one small area that the sun is trying to peek through the clouds.

Good rich colors, though the focus is soft across all of them. I do like the light on the fruits in the lower left corner. It draws your eye to a darker area and then you can roam the selection of lighter colors.

I would have chopped the banner as closely as possible and used that as the title anyway. Then used the recovered file space to increase the jpeg quality adjustment.

Not a bad still life study. I don't think the flat light flatters the pencils particularly, but on the other hand, I like the hard shadows, as I think they add drama. YOur placement bisecting the table shadow is interesting, am not sure of reason for this, however.

a shot like this just begs to be sharper. it also seems to be slightly over-exposed. for a challenge such as this, it also leaves me wondering what made this stand out to you as your best image of the year...
