Though the DOF seems to work, there doesn't seem to be enough separation between subject and background and the white balance seems off.

excellent example of how to take something as simple as this and make it into something memorable. very, very good work. i really appreciate the effort you made to find this composition, rather than simply settling for grabbing an easier shot.

[ok, this should be interesting, to see who get's bragging rights on owning the shot. i'm guessing that this is from some no ga g2g, but i could be completely wrong on that...]
