Wow! What a cool setting this little abandoned building is in! What could look bad in a place like THAT!!! I love this picture! I know the house is the focus of the picture, but I'm a total mountain freak, and I love the way the size of the house gives you the perspective of how huge those mountains are. Good job.

Great idea to use the candles as fill light, as it really met the challenge and the cancle light added to the mood. The folds on the background distract a bit though, and could have been reduced by moving the curtain back from the subject.

GREAT shot, i would give it an 8 or 9 if it weren't for that pesky background (the ruffles that are evident behind the candles) and the light spots above the boys head. try to get that background a deeper, richer black, and this picture will be absolutely stunning
