You are right. Mr. Reaper does take away from the interaction with the girl and dad. Great catch on this one. I think it would look fine if you cropped scary guy out of it. :)

It IS pretty! I like that it's upside down...makes it a lot different than all the other flower shots in this challenge. The black background is great for contrasting the color of the petals. Good luck :)
